Four Thursday reveals, one final cash draw

The entry window opens October 29 at midnight ET and ends November 25 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Each Wednesday cutoff feeds the next Thursday's draw. The $1 million prize is in the November 26 draw only.

Entries carry forward within November, subject to the rules and any reductions. You can win in more than one week, but only one prize per person in each weekly draw. Dates below are scheduled reveals, not confirmed results.

You no longer need Chequing just to register

For November, registration gives you 500 entries if you have an eligible personal Wealthsimple account that currently holds, or previously held, at least $1. Register through Monthly Millionaire in the app or on Wealthsimple's website. A business Chequing account alone doesn't qualify.

You must be a legal Canadian resident at the age of majority in your province or territory. Quebec residents are eligible. The rules exclude specified employees, contractors, promoters and their immediate families or households. Your Wealthsimple accounts must be in good standing when entering and receiving a prize.

If you successfully registered and qualified for a previous monthly contest and haven't opted out, you're automatically enrolled with 500 entries. That is continued registration, not a promise that last month's entire entry balance carries over. Check November's tally in the app.

You still need a personal Chequing account to claim any prize. If you don't have one when selected, you must open it before your claim deadline.

Which personal accounts qualify?

The November list includes TFSA, RRSP, Spousal RRSP, FHSA, RESP, RRIF, Spousal RRIF, LIRA, LIF, individual or joint non-registered accounts, non-registered Margin, Crypto, Registered Savings Accounts, individual or joint Chequing, Savings, High-Interest Savings Portfolio (Money Market Portfolio), USD Savings, USD Chequing and Portfolio Line of Credit.

Eligible group accounts include RRSP, TFSA, FHSA, non-registered and DPSP accounts. This broad registration list is different from the narrower personal Savings account requirement for the 10,000-entry Savings bonus.

How to earn November entries

The maximum is 100,000 entries per person across every method, including the direct-deposit multiplier and bonus entries. Extra entries are chances in a draw. They aren't cash, investment returns or a guaranteed prize.

The account-based methods below require completed contest registration. Qualifying activity in the contest period can count even if it happened before registration. Keep the money decision separate: a prize draw isn't a reason to borrow, exceed contribution room or give up an account that suits you.

The Savings and passkey conditions

November's formal Rule 5 awards 10,000 entries to qualifying new and existing Savings clients. The same page's Savings FAQ lists 5,000 for existing funded accounts. This guide follows the formal November rules. Ask Wealthsimple about a different allocation in your app.

The Savings bonus requires a personal CAD Wealthsimple Savings account. USD Savings, registered savings and the money-market portfolio don't qualify for this particular bonus. Interest doesn't count toward the $1 net funding requirement, and an old balance alone doesn't replace new net deposits during the contest.

After qualifying, dropping below $1 in net deposits or closing the Savings account voids the 10,000-entry allocation. Restoring the required net funding during the contest restores that allocation. It doesn't add another 10,000 each time.

An existing passkey can qualify for the 5,000 entries without setting up another one. Removing every passkey voids that allocation until a passkey is registered again. Use Wealthsimple's own passkey instructions for setup and account recovery.

Deposits, withdrawals and a delayed entry tally

Deposits must be initiated and completed during the contest window. An institutional transfer must complete during it. Funds received after a weekly cutoff can count for a later draw if they arrive by the final November 25 deadline. A pending transfer isn't completed funding.

Moving money between your own Wealthsimple accounts doesn't create external-deposit entries. USD transfers use Wealthsimple's corporate exchange rate when received. Net external funding is calculated across the contest period, less withdrawals and transfers out.

The rules exclude certain transactions from withdrawal deductions, including transfers between your own Wealthsimple accounts, Wealthsimple credit-card payments, bills, pre-authorized debits, prepaid-card spending and specified margin or portfolio-line-of-credit withdrawals. Joint-account movements have additional rules. Wealthsimple can adjust entries for suspected gaming, so don't treat these exceptions as a fund-cycling strategy.

There is no contest lock-in period for ordinary deposits, but withdrawing can reduce funding entries. The app's tally can lag, and Wealthsimple's transaction records determine the final count. If an expected entry is missing, check completion dates, account type, net withdrawals and the overall cap before contacting support.

Referral cash and referral entries are separate

November's 5,000 referral entries go to the referrer. The referrer must have at least $100 in net deposits at the time of the qualifying referral. The referred person must be eligible, have a pre-existing personal, family or friend relationship with the referrer, use their code and complete at least $100 in qualifying funding.

That funding must complete within 30 days of the earlier of code application or the first deposit, and within November's contest period. Ordinary referral terms also apply. Finding a public code through search doesn't create the relationship required for contest referral entries.

The standard cash referral offer has separate conditions. Using a referral link doesn't register either person for Monthly Millionaire. I may receive compensation from eligible use of my referral link, as disclosed in the referral guide.

Thursday reveals and the November 5 event

For the reveal streak, open Monthly Millionaire in the app and complete each of the first three weekly reveal experiences by 11:59:59 p.m. ET on the fifth day after its actual reveal date. Winning isn't required. Missing a draw or its reveal window means no streak award. The 10,000 entries apply only to Week 4.

Wealthsimple Presents offers 1,000 entries once. Event registration is free and subject to availability. Use the same email as your Wealthsimple account. After the event, the recording provides a QR code and form as an alternative, due by November 25 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Completing both routes doesn't double the entries.

Random bonus-entry awards in Weeks 1 to 3 are another possibility. They have no cash value, count toward later draws and must be claimed within five days. They aren't the same as the guaranteed allocation for completing an eligible reveal streak.

Can you enter without opening or funding an account?

Yes. Rule 6 provides an essay-entry route without a purchase or Wealthsimple account. An initial original essay of at least 100 words about how you would grow wealth with one million dollars earns 500 entries. Further eligible original essays earn one entry each, subject to the same 100,000 overall cap.

Submit through the official form linked in the rules, using the required identity and contact details consistently. Existing clients must use their Wealthsimple account email. AI-generated, program-assisted, automated, bulk or substantially repeated essays can be disqualified.

A potential winner still needs a personal Chequing account by the applicable prize-claim deadline. Essay-only entrants without an account are contacted at the email used to enter.

How to check and claim a prize

Open Monthly Millionaire in the official Wealthsimple app on a reveal date and complete the reveal experience. If selected, follow the claim instructions, answer the time-limited mathematical skill-testing question correctly on your first attempt without assistance, and complete the declaration and required verification.

Cash, gold coins and charms must be claimed by 11:59:59 p.m. ET on the fifth day after the actual reveal. Gold bars and the $1 million grand prize have a 30-day claim window. Reveal dates can change, so your actual notification matters.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions

What are my odds of winning?

The rules say odds depend on the total eligible entries at each cutoff. That total isn't published in the rules, so neither your entry count nor the number of prizes gives a reliable percentage chance. Reaching 100,000 entries doesn't guarantee a prize.

Does every Thursday spin give me physical gold?

No. A daily coin spin awards contest entries. Physical gold is a separate weekly draw prize. The spin-outcome probabilities aren't your odds of winning a bar or coin.

Do I need to receive my salary to enter?

No. Qualifying direct deposit can double eligible entries, within the overall cap, but it isn't a registration requirement. An ordinary transfer or e-Transfer isn't automatically an eligible payroll deposit. The detailed income codes are in November's Rule 5.

Does Savings interest count toward the contest bonus?

No. Interest doesn't count toward the $1 in new net deposits required for the Savings entry bonus. Savings interest and contest prizes are different benefits. Review the account's current rate, eligibility and terms before opening or moving money.

What happens if I leave Monthly Millionaire?

Using Leave Millionaire in the app forfeits current entries, removes you from the current draw pool and stops future automatic enrolment. You must register again to participate after opting out, subject to the applicable rules.

Does entering require marketing emails?

The November rules distinguish contest administration from marketing consent. You can enter without agreeing to marketing communications and can withdraw marketing consent. Accepting a prize includes the publicity conditions in Rule 16, so read those before claiming.

Will this guide confirm the November winner?

No winner is identified here. The calendar shows scheduled dates only. Your official app result or essay-entry notification is the place to check your own outcome. A date passing doesn't establish a winner or a completed claim.
