Wealthsimple’s November 5 event: how to watch
The livestream is scheduled for Thursday, November 5, 2026, from noon to 12:45 p.m. Eastern. That’s 10 to 10:45 a.m. in Vancouver.
“Something Good Is Going to Happen” is Wealthsimple’s fourth product showcase, streamed from Toronto’s Massey Hall. You can register for the free livestream on Wealthsimple’s event page.
New to Wealthsimple? Get $25 after funding
This referral offer is separate from the event. Eligible new clients need at least $100 in net eligible external funding to arrive within 30 days of starting the referral.
Disclosure: I can receive the $25 base reward and an additional deposit-based bonus if you qualify through my referral.
For payout, you must be the primary owner of an active personal Chequing account in good standing. Keep the $25 bonus for 180 days or it may be recovered.
What time does it start in Canada?
B.C., Alberta and Manitoba ended seasonal clock changes in 2026. These times use the new rules. Vancouver is now two hours behind Toronto in November.

| Calgary | 11 a.m. |
| Regina | 11 a.m. |
| Winnipeg | Noon |

What should I ask Wealthsimple for?
Pick something you’d actually use. The invitation shared with WealthOps suggests a mattress, winter tires or a dinner out. Use a real quote or listed price, including tax and any delivery or installation costs.
These are ideas, not selection criteria. The invitation says Wealthsimple may surprise people during the show. A request isn’t a guaranteed payment.
How do I send the money request?
1. In the app, open your personal Chequing account and tap Wealthsimple Pay. Business Chequing doesn’t support Pay.
2. Choose New and search for $wealthsimple, or select that contact if it’s already saved.
3. Tap Request, enter the amount, then tap the next arrow.
4. Add your short message and tap Request. This sends a request, not a payment.
Is there a deadline, amount cap or selection rule?
Campaign eligibility, deadlines, amount caps and selection rules haven’t been confirmed here. Follow the terms in your official invitation. There’s no confirmed rule that larger, more emotional or repeated requests improve your chances.
The November 25 deadline for contest entries below doesn’t establish a deadline for the request-money campaign.
What has Wealthsimple announced so far?
As of November 1, the preview points to updates across investing, trading, spending and saving, including a conversational way to interact with money. It doesn’t name the products or settle their prices, eligibility or release dates.
How do the 1,000 contest entries work?
Eligible November Monthly Millionaire entrants can earn 1,000 entries once: register for the event with the email on your Wealthsimple account, or watch the recording afterward and complete its on-screen QR form by November 25 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Doing both doesn’t double the award.
You must also complete the contest’s separate Registration Entry by that deadline. The first draw’s cutoff is November 4 at 11:59 p.m. ET, before the event. Watching on November 5 cannot add entries to that first draw. Entries aren’t a cash payment or a guaranteed prize.
Can I watch a replay? Do I need an account?
Wealthsimple’s November contest rules provide for a recording afterward at the official watch link. They don’t give an upload time.
The event registration form asks for an email, and the watch link currently leads to YouTube. The pages don’t explicitly confirm whether a Wealthsimple account is required just to watch. Account and registration requirements for earning contest entries are separate.
Can I attend at Massey Hall?
The announcement names Massey Hall as the broadcast venue and gives media an attendance-request route. It doesn’t offer general public admission. The public registration link is for watching online.
Is this the $425 million announcement?
That financing announcement came on October 27. Wealthsimple agreed to an equity round of up to C$425 million. The November 5 showcase concerns upcoming products. The financing amount isn’t a giveaway pool.
